24-hour medical service available for goalball tournament
(BEIJING, September 6) -- Athletes, coaches, officials, venue personnel and audience will be able to receive first aid on site at the training and competition venues for the upcoming goalball tournament, according to the organizers.
Organizers have cherrypicked a few veteran doctors and prepared basic medical tools and medicine at the venues. Ambulances will also be ready for any emergencies during the competitions.
In addition, basic medical services will be available at the hotels where players, coaches, and officials are to stay.
The Good Luck Beijing 2007 International Goalball Tournament, a pre-Games competition, will be held at the Beijing Institute of Technology Gymnasium from September 13-16, 2007.
Eight teams from Lithuania, Canada, Denmark, Switzerland, the U.S., Japan, Finland, and the host country China will compete in the tournament.
