(Beijing, September 14) On the second day of group heats of the 2007 International Goalball Tournament, Denmark and Lithuania, who lost their opening game yesterday, met for their second group match today in Group A.

Denmark and Lithuania are two of the strong teams in the world. Lithuania, in particular, were last year's world champions and this year's European champions. However, a number of key players were absent from these two teams for the Beijing event.

In the first half, both teams put up tight defense and the score remained 0-0 for the first eight minutes. At ninth minute, Lithuania managed to break the Danish defense for its first goal.

One minute into the second half, Lithuania's No. 8 Marius Zibolis scored again with a long throw, and with a penalty awarded to Denmark for rule infractions he earned a third goal for Lithuania. Following that, Marius Zibolis continued to make contributions by scoring a fourth goal for his team with a long, crosscourt throw. Denmark strengthened its attacking to turn the score 4-1. However, they had no more time to turn the tide and had to concede the game to their opponents.
