Beijing, September 14 – Comments from coaches and athletes of Lithuania and Canada after their Pool A preliminary match.

Karolis Levickis (Coach of LTU)

On the own goal in second half:

“It was a mistake. We had some problem of our teamwork.”

On difference between the opponents (Canada and China):

“Canadians are strong and tall, but they are not so fast. Chinese players are very swift.”

Arvydas Juchna(LTU)

On opponent:

“They were a little nervous, because they lost two balls at the very beginning. But I think they are not a weak team. They are strong.”

On reason of victory:

“We practiced a lot before the match and prepared very well, (it was) not because the opponent is weak team.”

Michael Robert Huzulak (Coach of CAN)

On team’s performance:

“We performanced badly today. There were too many penalties (conceding nine penalties). Maybe it’s because we haven’t been playing lately and we need more practice.”
