(Beijing, September 15) In today's second classification game between Denmark and Japan, the Danish team beat its Japanese counterpart 5-1 to qualify for tomorrow's game with Canada to decide the fifth place. Japan, which lost its quarterfinal match to Lithuania this morning, will meet Finland to vie for the seventh place.

The two teams played cautiously at the beginning. Four minutes into the game Denmark launched a fast attack to open the score. Before the end of the first half, the Japanese team managed to tie the score at the last second.

The game came to a deadlock for the first five and a half minutes of the second half. The Japanese team then made an own goal, and the Danish team seized the chance to break the Japanese defense with a crosscourt throw, 3-1. Having called a time-out and made a substitution the Japanese team tried to turn the table but in vain. In the remaining minutes Denmark scored two more goals, one with a long penalty throw and the other with a crosscourt throw, and finished the game with 5-1.
