Sweden trounces Lithuania 5-3 to meet China in finals

(Beijing, September 15) The semifinals of the 2007 Goalball Invitational Tournament concluded this evening, with Sweden trouncing Lithuania 5-3 to enter the gold-medal match tomorrow. Lithuania will take on the United States for the bronze medal.
In today's last semifinal match, Sweden opened the score with a powerful attack. After six minutes or so, Lithuania tied the score with a successful straight throw. Sweden followed suit with two more goals and the score stood at 3-2 after the first half.
The Sweden enlarged the score to 5-2 in the middle of the second half. Lithuania counterattacked to score again but failed to pose any big threat to its opponent in the remaining time.
