The "Good Luck Beijing" 2007 Goalball Invitational Tournament concluded at the Beijing Institute of Technology Gymnasium on September 16, with China outplaying Sweden 8-3 to win the gold medal for the first time in the sport's history. Sweden took the silver medal, followed by Lithuania. The fourth to eighth places went to the United States, Denmark, Canada, Japan and Finland.

A grand victory ceremony was held after the gold-medal match. Attending the ceremony were Jim Leask, Chief of the International Blind Sport Federation (IBSA) Goalball Department and IPC Sports Council Representative, Hu Haiyan, President of the Beijing Institute of Technology, Wang Xinxian, vice-resident of the Chinese Disabled Persons' Federation (CDPF) and Presidend of the China Paralympic Committee, Tang Xiaoquan, President of the event organizing committee, CDPF vice-president and executive vice-president of the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee (BOCOG), and Zhao Chunluan, Director-General of the Beijing Disabled Persons' Federation, who presented medals to the top three teams.
